Kakching police seized heroin powder from 2 person

Today i.e. on 20/06/2022, at around 11:20 am, 1.090 kilograms of suspected Heroin no.4 powder has been detected and seized by teams of Kakching Police.

The said seizure was made by teams of Commando Unit, Kakching led by Subedar Ksh. Prakash assisted by HC L. Rohit Singh and Havaldar N. Chaoba Singh while conducted frisking and checking at CDO Check-post at Leimanai Chingjin. 

The drugs was siezed from One Maruti Suzuki Brezza ( Maroon inncolour) vehicle bearing Registration Number MN02B-1095 where it was concelaed inside the fuel tank and the right side panel below the body of the vehicle.

The driver  and the other occupant were detained . They were searched along with the said vehicle after observing legal formalities. From the vehicle, 89 (Eighty Nine ) soap cases containing suspected (Heroin No.4) powder were detected.  On weighing, the suspected Heroin (No.4) powder was found to weigh approximately 1.090 kgs ( 1,090 grams )(in total). The two persons were arrested and vehicle and suspected drugs were siezed. 

Details of Arrested Persons are as follows-: I) Manglalmuon Gangte(35) S/0. Paoneimang Gangte of Moreh ward no.2,Mission veng ,Tengnoupal District, ii)  Houminsem Singsong (25) S/o.Henkhogin Singson of Zalenphai village, Moreh, Tengnoupal. It is estimated that the siezed contraband drugs are word Rs 23.98 lakhs in local market and 2.39 crores in International Market. The arrested persons along with the seized articles is handed over to OC, Kakching Police Station for taking up further necessary legal action.
