Thoubal District Police arrested a drug dealer couple along with Heroin No. 4 at Moijing Lamkhai on Sunday morning. The police team also arrested one individual along with a Hyundai Creta Car suspected to be a stolen vehicle.

Police sources said a joint team of Thoubal District Commando and civil police led by O. Iboton Singh, DSP(CDO) and assisted by Inspector N. Sadananda, OC, CDO Thoubal, Inspector Kh. Dilipkumar Singh, OC/Thoubal PS, Inspector Jaheruddin, OC/Yairipok PS including women police personnel conducted house to house search operation at Moijing Lamkhai area.

The operation conducted under the overall supervision of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam started from 4 AM and continued till 8 AM.

During the operation, the police team arrested two drug dealers namely Thoubalmayum Rafique (43), son of Th. Siraj Ahamad of Moijing Thoubalmayum Leikai and his wife Leirang (35) along with 17.10 gram of Heroin No. 4 and a cash of Rs. 64,000 from their house, it disclosed.

In another operation, one person namely Moijingmayum Nakib (24), son of M. Rahisuddin of Moijing Awang was arrested along with one Hyundai Creta Car white in colour bearing registration number MN 04A/2375 suspected to have been stolen. A cash of Rs. 55,000 was also recovered from his house.

The arrested persons along with the seized items have been handed over to Thoubal Police Station for further necessary action, the source conveyed.
