Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal and Health Care Center Thoubal held Yoga Mahotsav

Yoga Mahotsav, countdown to International Day of Yoga was held today at Health Care center Pakhangkhong Leirak, Thoubal. The programme was jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal and Health Care Center Thoubal Pakhangkhong. 

During the program, various basic yoga postures/asanas demonstrations were performed by well trained Yoga practitioners. Dignitaries who were present  at the program spoke in length about the benefits of practicing Yoga. Around  thirty people including young and adult took part in the yoga demonstration.

It may be mentioned that 21st June is observed every year as International Day of Yoga since 2015 following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical,mental and spiritual practice which originated in India.
