Veer Savarkar

CM N. Biren Singh attended a book discussion on “Veer Savarkar: The man who could have prevented partition”, authored by Central Information Commissioner, Government of India Uday Mahukar and Chirayu Pandit, at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy Auditorium, Imphal today. The programme was organised by Intellectual Forum of North East – Manipur.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon'ble CM stated the book titled “Veer Savarkar: The man who could have prevented partition” is not just a book but an awareness to the people of our Country. He continued that our present generations need to know about the freedom fighters, who had played important roles in making the present day India. He maintained that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government had taken up certain initiatives to bring up those unsung freedom fighters, who had contributed much in shaping the country, to the knowledge of our youths.

Hon'ble CM stressed the need to have discussions and symposiums on our history and certain other issues which would act as a roadmap towards a better Manipur.

He also praised the authors for coming up with such a book which would be knowledge sharing to the people.
