Kakching CDO sized 689 grm of Heroin powder

As part of War on Drugs today at around 11:30 am, 689 grams of suspected Heroin no.4 powder has been detected and seized by teams of Kakching Police.

The said seizure was done from one Maruti Van ( white in colour) bearing Registration no. AR03-3555 coming from Pallel side at the Leimanai Chingjin CDO check-post. The detection and seizure was affected by Sub Ksh. Prakash Singh assisted by Hav. N. Chaoba Singh, HC L. Rohit Singh and one lady commando under the command of Inspector Md. Abash Khan, OC, CDO Unit, Kakching, under the supervision of Shri Binoy Chongtham, MPS Addl. SP (Ops) Kakching, and under the overall Supervision of Shri Shrey Vats, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kakching.

The driver and the occupants of the vehicle were detained for verification. They were identified as (1) Paominlal Misao (20) s/o Thangjang Misao of T. Tonglhang, S.Khudengthabi,Moreh,Tengnoupal District (2) Lhunkhopao Baite (33) s/o Tongkhoson Baite of Moreh, H.Wanomjang village,Tengnoupal District (3) Lamkholhing (61) w/o Onkhongam of HT. Gamnomphai village, Moreh, Tengnoupal District.

The detained persons along with the said vehicle were searched after observing legal formalities. From the vehicle, 55 (Fifty-Five) soap cases containing suspected (Heroin No.4) powder were detected concealed in the modified fuel tank of the vehicle. The driver of vehicle and its occupants were arrested by observing all formalities. On weighing, the suspected Heroin (No.4) powder was found to weigh approximately 689 grams (in total).

The arrested persons along with the seized articles is handed over to OC, Kakching Police Station for taking up further necessary legal action.
