Kakching Police arrested 3 persons along with 235 saop cases of heroin powder.

In two subsequent operations conducted under War On Drugs 2.0 campaign, Kakching Police have seized 108 no. of soap cases containing suspected Heroin powder after being detected from one TATA Sumo car while frisking vehicles and passersby along the Indo-Burma Sugnu road at Serou Lamkhai on Wednesday. The apprehended drug smugglers have been identified as Letsem Khongsai (46) of Gamnom village, Sugnu, Chandel district and Genkhopao Haokip (24) Songpijang village, Churachandpur.

In another major seizure conducted by Kakching Commandos, 127 gram of suspected heroin powder in 10 soap cases were seized from one B. Mustap (19) from Moreh Muslim Nagar, Ward No. 5, Tengnoupal from the vicinity of Kombirei English School at Thoubal district on Wednesday. 

Also, as part of War on Drugs 2.0, 10 kgs of suspected opium ( kani) have been seized by Kakching Police today. The said seizure was made by CDO teams led by SI Th. Robindro Brown under the command of Inspector Md Abash Khan OC/CDO-KCG Unit and under the supervision of  Binoy Chongtham, MPS, Addl SP ( Ops) Kakching and under the overall supervision of Shrey Vats, IPS, Superintendent of Police Kakching District.  The seizure was made from a culvert of Sugnu chakpikarong road near the junction Moltichan Village at. One individual was arrested with the suspected drugs who was identified as  Lunreilhing Baite(30yrs)  W/ O.Thangkhogin Baite of Molngat Village,Chandel district. Upon weighing the suspected opium was found to weigh 10 kgs in total.The seized items and the arrested persons are handed over to Sugnu PS for further necessary legal action
