'People's day' for Kakching District held at Kakching DC office
District Administration,Kakching organized Meeyamgi Numit (People’s Day) for Kakching District today at Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Kakching.
The programme was inaugurated by Adhyakshya, Kakching Zila Parishad Shri Phuritsabam Jiten Singh. Speaking to media persons, the Adhyakshya said that Meeyamgi Numit has been organized under the instruction of Hon’ble Chief Minister. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kakching Shri A. Adahrii Maheo informed that Meeyamgi Numit for Kakching district will be organized on the first Monday of every month at DC office complex.
Altogether, 30 departments open their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances. Few among the services provided/grievance redressed in today’s Meeyamgi Numit includes,19 nos of Birth Certificate registration was done by Kakching Municipal Council. District Supply Officer (CAF & PD), Kakching issued 150 ration card and also corrected 30 cards. Water Resources Department, Kakching have received proposal for improvement of river bund along Sekmai river in between Kakching bridge and Sekmai bridge. Proposal for providing flood fighting materials on demand and proposal for periodical inspection of sites along rivers.
SDO, Kakching have issued 17 nos. of Income certificate and 2 nos of Residential certificate. SDO, Waikhong have issued 4 nos of Income certificate, 8 nos of Birth certificate and 3 nos of Death certificate. Under CMHT and AB-PMJAY, 10 cards and 120 forms were issued. Under Rural Engineering Department, 20 persons enquired for work (PMGSY work). District Agricultural Office, Thoubal/Kakching distributed micro-nutrient fertilizer to 200 farmers. 20 people approach ITI Kakching for counseling for skill development. Public Works Department have received complaint about Sekmaijin Bridge approach road. Free seedling were distributed to 219 people and 7 persons have enquires about forest matters.
Mentioned may be made that Meeyamgi Numit is a service platform for the general public to address their grievances. Hundreds of people turned up to highlight their grievances. District Level Officers have attended the programme.
