African Swine Flu found at Sekmai

Office of the District Magistrate, Imphal West issued an order regarding confirmation of African Swine Flu in Thanga leikai, Sekmai District.

The order stated  that, under the Prevention and Control of  Infectious and Contagious Disease in Animals Act 2009, the mentioned area is declared as Controlled area and further, areas under 1km distance from the controlled area is declared as infected zone and areas under 9 km distance from the controlled area as survellience zone. The order also band selling, and carrying of pigs and any pig related items in the said area.
