Water level of Jiribam river high

As a result of continuous rainfall, the water levels of Barak river continue to rise and it further leads to the rise in water level of Jiri river. The presnt condition of the water level is at a dangerous level and may lead to floods in the mentioned place for the second straight time in one year. The water levels in many agriculture paddy fields and fishery lands under Sonapur and Hilghat GP keep raising. People residing in the area said that District Administration had started to take up steps regarding the situation.
