One day Drug awareness Campaign at Hatta

One day Drug awareness Camp was held today at Hatta Golapati Mayai Leikai organised by MMA. Speaking on the programme, MLA Th. Arunkumar said that Hatta area is considered as drug centre by the people of the state, also he appealed to the people of Hatta area to form Anti Drug Committee and to prevent buying and selling drugs in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA said, People of Hatta area need to take part and play active role in the War On drug campaign of the Government. He said that huge quantity of drugs are brought in the state since our state is in Border. He also said that Drugs produced from Poppy plantation is of least quantity and mentioned that talks had already begun with the village chiefs to stop Poppy plantation in the state.

Further, he mentioned about the lack of proper concelling and guidance for the Drug addicted youths. He said that money is required to keep the addicted yourths in de addiction centres and the helpless situation faced by the drug addicts while they made attempts to let go of drugs.
