Mirdung festival held at Sanjenbam

Pungyam Yeiba performance was shown at an institute in Sangsabi (Sanjenbam) organised by Institute of Manipur Performing Arts under Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief guest of the function Th. Jiten spoke about the works of expansion of the Institute and would consult with the locality club and take up the necessary works.

As a part of the programme, Th. Brajabidhu ( programme Executive Doordarsan Kendra Imphal ) said that, setting up an institute of Arts and Culture at Sangsabi, a place filled with the beauty of nature and also not far away from imphal is a must. He further said the place should be developed so as to become tourists attraction.

Ex Executive member North East Cultural centre, Dimapur stated that Culture helps a lot in developing behaviours of the people. Also, IMPA said, they would take a big role in the protection and prevention of Manipuri Culture.
