CM meet MMA fighter at his office

Today Chief Minister N. Biren met MMA athletes Jojo Rajkumari, Laishram Surbala and Veini Th. at CM’s secretariat. On the occasion, CM rewarded cash awards as a token of appreciation to the athletes and talked about the various bouts they took part in.

As we have known, Jojo Rajkumari defeated Mary Jane Buna at Matrix Fight Night 9, also Laishram Surbala Devi and Veini Th won Gold medal and bronze medal respectively at the GAMMA World Championship.

Speaking on the occasion, Jojo said Sports, art and culture indicated and represented Manipur all over the world and so she appealed to the youths of the state to avoid drugs and shift their attention towards sports. Further, she continued saying that, being an MMA athlete is not easy and is a very dangerous sport. She also mentioned about the importance of good diet and healthy foods. She also speaks about the inconvenience she faced to keep up with the diet plans because of her financial conditions. She requested that she would be thankful if the government provide her an accurate job. She claimed that she would be able to win mure more Gold Medals and bring fame for the state and also requested help from the government. In the Programme, MLA Kumo Sha also took part.
