Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh has hailed Manipur Thang-Ta team for bagging 4 gold and 2 silver medals at Khelo India Youth Games 2021 at Panchkula, Haryana. Konjengbam Thaja Chanu got gold medal in Thanga-Ta Phunaba Anisuba -52 kg Girls' Category, Longjam Sophiya Chanu bagged gold medal in Thang Haiba Girls' Category, Dijen Shagolshem bagged gold medal in men's Thang Haiba Boys' Category, Abujam Lanchenba Singh bagged silver medal in Thanglon & Khonglon-Khutlon Boys' Category, Chandani Sunar bagged gold medal in Thanglon & Khonglon-Khutlon Girls' Category and Kolom Merina Devi bagged silver medal in Phunaba Anishuba -56 kg Girls' Category. Manipur Youth Affairs and Sports minister Govindas Konthoujam also congratulated Huidrom Bhumeshwori and Manipur team on winning gold medal at Khelo India Youth Games. He also congratulated Khwairakpam Rahul Singh on adding another gold medal in the Manipur medal tally by winning Cycling 200 m Sprint.
